Multiple ways to bet on every match — more than just picking the winner
The most fundamental market — pick the player or pair you think will win the entire match. Perfect for beginners and available for every match on net88, no exceptions.
The weaker player receives a virtual set advantage. For example, if Lee Zii Jia is given a Handicap of +1.5 sets, he can lose 1-2 and your bet still wins. This boosts the odds when backing top-ranked players.
Bet on whether a match will finish in two sets (Under 2.5) or go to a third (Over 2.5). Closely contested matches between similarly ranked players often produce a thrilling deciding set.
Combine up to 15 badminton matches on a single ticket. Odds from each match are multiplied together for the chance at a significantly larger payout. Perfect for action-packed days like semi-finals or tournament finals.
Bet while the match is in progress. Odds shift with every rally based on the live score, momentum, and player condition. Fans watching the live stream have a significant edge in this market.
Predict the exact score of each set (e.g. 21-18, 18-21, 21-15) or pick the overall tournament champion. These high-odds markets offer exceptional returns when you get it right.

Real wins from Malaysian players
If there is one sport that truly unites Malaysians across all races, states, and backgrounds, it is badminton. From the era of Razif Sidek and Jalani Sidek to the years of Datuk Lee Chong Wei putting Malaysia on the world stage, and now with Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia & Wooi Yik, and Pearly Tan & Thinaah continuing to compete at the highest level — badminton is a story of national pride being rewritten every single week. At net88, we understand that feeling, and that is exactly why we have built the most complete and user-friendly badminton betting platform for Malaysian fans.
Unlike many other sports, badminton holds a special place in Malaysia — it is a sport most Malaysians have played themselves, which means that when we watch professional matches, we naturally understand the techniques, strategies, and just how extraordinary the skills on the world stage truly are. That knowledge gives Malaysian fans an edge when making more informed betting decisions on net88.
Lee Zii Jia is more than a badminton player — he is a symbol of the Malaysian spirit that never gives up. With a world ranking that keeps climbing and the ability to beat the world's top players on his best days, every international appearance by Zii Jia is a highly anticipated event. At net88, the odds for Zii Jia's matches are always compelling — he may be the underdog on paper, but fans who follow his journey know he is capable of beating anyone.
Many net88 players from across Malaysia — Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Sabah, Sarawak — say that betting on Lee Zii Jia during the Malaysia Open is one of the most thrilling experiences they have ever had. Watching a match with even a small financial stake adds a layer of emotion that is simply impossible to put into words.
Few things stir the hearts of Malaysian badminton fans more than backing our nation's Thomas Cup squad. Every two years, Malaysia competes for the most prestigious trophy in men's team badminton — and every tie goes beyond individual skill, fuelled by a team spirit capable of producing results no one saw coming. net88 provides full Thomas Cup coverage with betting markets for every individual match within each tie, not just the overall team result.
This means when Malaysia faces Indonesia or China in the Thomas Cup, you can bet on each men's singles match, the first doubles, and the second doubles all separately. This level of coverage opens up more opportunities for players who have a deep knowledge of each team member's strengths. The Uber Cup for women's teams receives the same treatment at net88, giving fans the chance to back Malaysia's women's team as they continue to grow in competitiveness.
One thing Malaysian badminton fans should understand before they start betting is how to read badminton odds correctly. In badminton, there are only two possible outcomes — unlike football, which has three (win, draw, loss). This means badminton odds are generally lower than football odds for the outright winner market.
For example, if Viktor Axelsen faces a world No. 30 player, the odds on Axelsen winning might be as low as 1.15 to 1.25 — meaning you'd need to stake RM 100 just to win RM 15 to RM 25. That's why many experienced badminton bettors on net88 prefer markets like Over/Under total sets, Set Handicap, or combining several matches in a Parlay to unlock more attractive odds.
One of the biggest advantages of betting on badminton at net88 is our in-play system, which lets you place bets while the match is in progress. Badminton is a sport where momentum can shift in an instant — a player trailing 10-15 in a set can rally back with ten consecutive points to take it. Those who watch live and can read player condition, coaching strategy and in-match momentum are in a strong position to make sharp in-play betting decisions.
The net88 in-play system for badminton refreshes every few seconds — every point played is reflected in real-time odds movements. This makes watching badminton while betting in-play one of the most thrilling experiences any modern Sports Betting platform can offer.
Held annually at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, the Malaysia Open is one of the most anticipated tournaments on the Malaysian badminton calendar. The passionate home crowd gives local players a genuine psychological edge — a factor that anyone betting on Malaysia Open matches should always take into account. At net88, the Malaysia Open receives full treatment as a Super 1000 event — the highest tier on the BWF World Tour calendar. You can bet on every match from the first round through to the final, across all five categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. With the world's best players on court and the electric support of Malaysian fans, the Malaysia Open consistently delivers drama and upsets that make for a truly exciting betting experience.
